” Memory Verse
“But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;”
Titus 1:8
Today’s Devotional
God’s steward must be just, and because God’s word is just, a steward of God must always side with the word against his feelings and persons:
“Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” John 7:24
The Bible tells us:
“Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for equity.” Proverbs 17:26
He never asked you to push for equity where you punish a set of people just because you are trying to balance out and elevate those you consider the less privileged:
“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.” Psalms 113:7-8
He doesn’t demote the princes in the process.
All of this shows that there is the human way of thinking about justice that might not be matched with God’s and so always- you must side with the word irrespective of the pressures of the multitude.
