We had a really awesome service this Sunday as we were blessed every whit listening to the word of God from Pastor Ebi.The message was a continuation of the series, “Jesus: the way, the truth and the life”, having learnt from John 14:6 in the previous service that Jesus is the way to the Father and that having believed in and received him, we are now with the Father, Pastor moved on to show us the purpose of our being with the Father as clearly seen in John 17:24, in his prayer to God, Jesus declared that the reason he desired that we should be where he is with the Father was so that we would behold his glory.To show us what transpires as we behold his glory, Pastor took us on a journey through 2 Corinthians 3:18, we saw that as we behold his glory, we are changed into the same image, conformed to the image of God’s Son as is also emphasized in Romans 8:29, the implication of this is that we are able to imitate God as we have been instructed to in Ephesians 5:1, we can do the things that Jesus did and get the same results, we can walk as he walked and live the very life he lived on the earth.What blessedness to know that by beholding the glory of God in his word, we are changed into his image and enabled to manifest his divine expressions on the earth.
