“He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; His righteousness endureth for ever; His horn shall be exalted with honour.”
Psalm 112:9
In the earlier verses, he made clear who he is referring to- ‘a good man’:
“A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: He will guide his affairs with discretion.” Psalm 112:5
And isn’t Jesus so kind- that in his instructions to us, he makes it clear that he wants us to match the description in Psalm 112:5.
He teaches us to show favor:
“Give to every man that asketh of thee…” Luke 6:30
He teaches us to lend:
“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again…” Luke 6:35
He teaches us to guide our affairs with discretion:
“But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret…” Matthew 6:3-4
His plan is that we forever remain unmoved and be eternally relevant:
“Surely he shall not be moved for ever: The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.” Psalm 112:6
