“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.” John 12 vs 46

Life is spiritual; and you realize that Jesus didn’t waste time perusing the physical or emotional realm; he addressed every situation from a spiritual perspective; look at this example:

“And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out… And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.” Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭23‬, ‭25‬-‭26‬ 

He could have told them to tie the man or try to understand why the mental state of the man would cause him to scream in public, but he addressed the situation spiritually, and delivered the man of the demon. This darkness in the world, that causes men to walk in wickedness is caused by spirit beings:

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭

So it is futile to waste time emphasizing physical or mental solutions when the source of the problem can easily be dealt with- just like spirit beings are responsible for the darkness; our Precious Jesus is the solution all men require, so do not be shy or bullied into prescribing physical/ mental solutions for a deeply spiritual problem.
