“…he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son….” Romans 8:29
The word conform (summorphos) here is different from that used in Romans 12:2 (suschematizo); your destiny isn’t to try to be like Jesus as against a different and fallen nature, but to realize that in Christ, you are a part of the household of God:
“…that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29
And since you are in him, you should walk as he walked (1 John 2:6); your destiny is to express him to your world and that is the reason you don’t miss opportunities to be built up by God’s word that would enable you realize God’s glorious purpose for your life:
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers… Till we all come… unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:” Ephesians 4:11, 13
You don’t miss church meetings, because that’s the place of your building up and your furtherance on the path of destiny!
