Joshua was tasked by God to divide the inheritance to the people of God and as long as he did that; he was a success! Now the Bible tells us:
“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” Acts 20:32
God’s word would not just build you up, but give you an inheritance- your inheritance amongst the people of God.
The word give is “didomi”; he drops it in your spirit without any need to struggle on your part, now all you have to do is to acknowledge what’s yours.
“I pray that your partnership in the faith may become effective as you fully acknowledge every blessing that is ours in the Messiah.” Philemon 1:6, ISV
Firstly, don’t go around acting like someone who has nothing and nobody, you have an inheritance- beautiful for all situations!
It wasn’t enough for Joshua to apportion an inheritance to the tribes of Israel, they had to enter the land and make it their own! Now that you know you have an inheritance in God’s word- make it yours; change your expectation, declaration and identity to fit your current location- in Christ, with an inheritance!
