“Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.” 2 Corinthians 8:7
He says abound in love; that means abound in success because love never fails.
“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;” Philippians 1:9-10
When your love abounds, it affects your sight and your judgment, you begin to approve excellent things; make excellent decisions, invest in excellence. When you abound in love, you’d become sincere because you would look beyond yourself:
“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” Philippians 2:4
The Bible says:
“Above all, continue to love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8, ISV
When you abound in love, you would see lesser faults in others and you would begin to believe the best in them and as you do so, you remain without offence.
“(Love)…believes the best in all; there is no limit to her hope…” 1 Corinthians 13:7, ISV
Remember the Bible says:
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
but God is Love, meaning when we walk in light of his love, we would fellowship with him and be cleansed from all sin, not just that, when we walk in the revelation of his love, we would be filled with all of his fullness!
“…because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:5
You have already been enabled to love like him, now abound in it!
