“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.”
Psalms 22:3

God dwells in our praises- he wants us to create an atmosphere of praise and thanksgiving everywhere we find ourselves, always.
So notice his emphasis:
“Giving thanks ALWAYS FOR ALL THINGS unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” Ephesians 5:20
“In EVERY THING give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God CONTINUALLY, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15
The Bible tells us in 1 John 2:6, we ought to live our lives the way Jesus lived his life, and he is the wisdom of God- hear him:
“Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;” Proverbs 8:30
He was always rejoicing before God, he expects us to do likewise.
