“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”
Acts 20:32
He commends you to the word of grace, not of his wrath or his judgment, so it matters where your attention is when you get to the word.
Jesus brought grace, receive what he brought even if you think you’re not deserving- it is grace after all.
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1 Corinthians 1:30
You realize what he has freely given you in Christ- wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption!
“…the things that are freely given to us of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:12, see also Romans 8:32
All free, and he didn’t just give you as a certificate; this is the life you can now live simply because you have believed in him:
“…He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24
You can live a holy life as a result of the gift of righteousness you have received (Romans 6:19b), you can expect to make wise choices in your life and all because of God’s goodness lavished on you!
