“Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.”
1 Peter 3:9

What an instruction- do not render evil for evil; don’t try to prove a point to others. Do not render railing for railing; slander for slander, on the contrary, he says do the seeming unthinkable; to all who are evil towards you and who slander your name or your work, he says bless.
Bless them- from your heart. Do God’s word, irrespective of how you feel in a situation; doing the word of God would always be the best response; that response that you would never regret. Jesus said:
“Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.” Luke 6:28
This means that there are times in your life, people might despitefully use you, maybe you might be under their authority, instead of immediately retaliating- he says pray for them:
“For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.” Luke 6:32
So unlearn insulting and retaliatory words and fixate your tongue with blessings- no matter what you hear concerning you; your response would be a blessing.
