“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
1Peter 1:23
We are born of the word; of the same source as Jesus- we have the same origin, we have the same father, we have been sealed together, we have the same glorious life and we have been called to the live the same sanctified and consecrated life:
“For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,” Hebrews 2:11
“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” 1John 3:2
He says even now, we are the sons of God and even if we might not look like it, we can do something with and about it. He says when we see him as he is, we shall be like him, the more we see him, the more we realize how we really are.
When a child is born, the more activities he sees his siblings do, the more he realizes he can do and does because he and his siblings are of the same source.
The same is true about our family, whatever Jesus did, you can do, and guess what? He wants you do to them also and even far greater things:
“…He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do…” John 14:12
