“Love… is never glad with sin; she’s always glad to side with truth, and pleased that truth will win. She bears up under everything; believes the best in all; there is no limit to her hope, and never will she fall.”

Love is never glad with sin, always glad to side with truth and pleased that truth will win!

“…thy word is truth.”  John 17:17

The word of God will win, it is impossible to love anyone outside the word of God, the word of God guides the expectations and responses in our relationships. Love bears up under everything- love endures; this is quite antithetical to popular belief, one would think, when you love, you’d only notice perfection in the person you love, but here, the word of God prepares our expectations- he says love endures and further expatiates:

“Love believes the best in all; there’s no limit to her hope…”

So under circumstances that are not the best, love endures, believing the best while expressing limitless hope. We are so blessed to know that God is love and he is the one true God, he reveals himself to us; he tells us, he believes the best in us and there’s no limit to hope for us. No wonder he says:

” Nothing …shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:39

Because:

“…while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8

Be likewise towards others!
