“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
The word of God tells us what to think about:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
Listen, do you want all of your heart’s desires to come to pass, then do not think outside these standards.
If the story is not true, even if it was said about you, don’t ponder on it! If the man acted dishonestly and “got what he wanted”, don’t contemplate on his method. If the lady behaved unjustly, don’t consider the action.
As simple as these things are, the word is telling us that when you don’t remain within this boundary of thoughts, your expectations for your life could be cut short.
Fill your mind consciously with only excellent thoughts, things that you think about and you are inspired to praise God, not things that make you sad or question life! You have no business with that- except you want things that will make you sad or question life to be your experience!
