“Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.”
Matthew 24:46
If God gave you a job to do, you should ensure you are doing it. One of the biggest blessings we have is the fact that Jesus, in living his life on the earth, showed us by example how to serve God and how to handle the work that God had given us by learning from him, he was the one who said:
“…My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.” John 5:17
There was no time to second guess, as long as the father was working, he was working also, he identified as a co-laborer with the father, but that’s exactly who we have become:
“For we are labourers together with God…” 1 Corinthians 3:9
“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20
And so there’s no need to second guess who you are or when you should start, is the father working? Mark 16:20.
Then you should be working with him!
