“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:” 2 Peter 1:3

He has given you all that you require for life and godliness; godliness has come home to you- you don’t have to torture yourself in order to live the godly life.
What’s relevant now is who you spend time with; who gets your attention- if you spend time with God’s word desiring to know him, you would walk in godliness, you would live the godly life, if you spend time with other things, even if it is true that you ought to live the godly life, you would walk as an unbeliever all because you did not prioritize spending time and getting to know the one who really matters.

What do you want right now? (Pause, think and answer.)
He has given you already; well prepared and planned for before you showed up, now, spend time with the one who has it, get to know him and increasing in your knowledge of him is as easy as spending time praying to him and studying his word.
“(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.” Matthew 6:32
