“But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.”
1 Timothy 6:11
From the time you are born into the world, you are saddled with different choices; some are made for you by your parents or guardians while others you make for yourselves irrespective of how informed you are about the decisions you are making.
As a Christian, the word of God shows you the right choices; he gives you his word so you can confidently make the best choices always:
“…so that you may be able to choose what is best and be pure and blameless until the day when the Messiah returns” Philippians 1:10, ISV
In the main verse, he tells you to “flee these things”, what things? Love of money, covetousness, hurtful lusts as shown in the preceding verses (1 Timothy 6:11-12), never make decisions or choices because of those; that is purposely walking in unrighteousness.
