“…for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”  
Joshua 1:8

The word of God says:
“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”  1 Timothy 4:15
Meditating on the word of God would definitely be of profit to you and such profit will not be hidden, it shall appear to ALL! Knowing this, every child of God should take meditating on the word as priority.
This is akin to the main verse that tells us:
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night…”  Joshua 1:8
As you speak the word, meditate on the word and do so day and night- for example, you can meditate on Psalm 23:1-
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.”  Psalms 23:1
“The Lord takes care of me as his sheep; I will not be without any good thing.”  Psalms 23:1, BBE
He says the verse would profit you and this reality would not just be obvious to you but all men will take notice about you.
Jesus said:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”  Matthew 5:16
This is one way to do that, for men to see your good works- which God approves of- he says meditate on the word. He says your profiting will appear but Joshua 1:8 makes it clear that your prosperity and good success are emblems of that profit.
