“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”  Joshua 1:8

He expects you meditate on the word day and night, even as you speak the word day and night. In the afternoon “I shall not want because the Lord is my shepherd” should be on your lips, and while you talk it, contemplate on it!
At night “goodness and mercy is chasing after me” should be on your lips and while you talk it, contemplate it.
God made us:
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”  Ephesians 2:10
And he understands the function of our members, now he said, in making us, he planted in us a prosperity and good success making tool- our tongue. The one who understands this and utilizes that tool would be prosperous and have good success that will be independent of any man, event or resource.
This means every man has in him all he requires to be prosperous in life, he carries his prosperity everywhere he goes, he can choose to ignore and/or hinder it by speaking lack or to bring it forth by speaking plenty. We are children of the living God and he never talks lack- as dear children, we ought to do likewise.
