“Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.”
Romans 12:16

Be of the same mind, be ready to listen to others, don’t become wise in your own conceits.
Jesus had a listening and open to reason attitude, true to God’s word in James 1:19 and James 3:17.
When they asked him about the topic of divorce, he asked them what they had read in the law: Mark 10:2-4
When he was challenged concerning eternal life, he asked what the person had seen in the law, and listened with genuine love not “just because”:
“He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God… And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.” Luke 10:26-28
So patient, when asked again by someone else, he listened in love, see Mark 10:21
When he appeared to the disciples enroute Emmaus, even if he knew they were talking about him, he still enquired what they were talking about, Luke 24:17
Guess what? We see that even in the heat of fierce opposition, because he genuinely heard people out, he had high praise for someone who came around:
“When Jesus noticed how thoughtfully and sincerely the man answered, he said to him, “You’re not far from the reality of God’s kingdom realm…” Mark 12:34, TPT
