“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.” Romans 12:14
We walk by faith and not by sight:
“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7
We are not obligated to respond based on our sensory perceptions:
“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.” Romans 8:12
The word of God guides our responses, because faith comes by hearing the word: Romans 10:17.
This means our knowledge of the word- what he has said about us, about a situation and our response to that situation should dictate how we live our lives.
“Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; KNOWING that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:9
He said because you know who you are and what’s in it for you, don’t curse, don’t give “it” back to them- you don’t have “it” to give.
If they insist on showing you they are mad, show them that you are full of grace and bless instead because you know who you are.
