“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.” Romans 12:14

The Bible tells us:
“For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:8
One of the things that must abound in you is self control (2 Peter 1:6); control how you respond to situations; don’t react to anything, instead be led by the word of God, and the only words you should shout aloud is God’s perfect message of righteousness, that’s the message you should skillfully proclaim and live by: Hebrews 5:13
He links your fruitfulness and productivity in the faith to your ability to neglect the promptings of men, your flesh to respond a certain way but to instead submit every such prompt to God’s word.
Look at David; encouraged to kill Saul:
“And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou mayest do to him as it shall seem good unto thee… And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master…” 1 Samuel 24:4-6
Yet he refrained. You can refrain and choose righteousness. You can pause and speak graciously.
