“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.” Romans 12:14
Amazing how the same instruction was given by Jesus:
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you…” Matthew 5:44
And repeated by Apostle Peter:
“Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing…” 1 Peter 3:9
People would persecute you, that’s certain:
“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12
In fact, in a crowd given to ungodliness and lukewarmness, if you aren’t being maligned for standing out, on fire for the Lord and his word, you should be concerned (Philippians 2:15-16) that’s what Jesus said:
“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.” Luke 6:26
But when the persecutions come, don’t retaliate, instead be true to who you are- a life giving spirit, a blesser of men! 1 Corinthians 15:45-49
