Commitment VI

“That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:”  
Ephesians 1:10

God anointed Jesus and he went about doing good; he didn’t anoint him to be stationary but to be on the move; establishing his kingdom and righteousness on the earth.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”  Acts 10:38
Then Jesus said:
“But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”  John 5:17
So God was working with him as he went about doing Good.
We have been anointed and appointed to act;
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”  Acts 1:8
He expects us to be on the go- not stationary:
“GO YE THEREFORE, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:”  Matthew 28:19
God is working with us:
“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.”  Mark 16:20
And guess what? He expects us to do greater works:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”  John 14:12
Don’t be stationary; don’t live your life just for yourself- that is small, cyclic and unproductive. Don’t live for other also; that will lead to grudges- live for Jesus! He gave you his life so you can live for him.
