“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
2 Peter 1:4

He said we have escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust, and the Bible says:
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” Romans 5:12
So this corruption- decay, perishing, spoilage- that is in the world, functions like a king, this is why no matter the effort, it seems like people have no say concerning the fact that everything must one day spoil, decay, rust, even the towel or clothing that is washed immediately after being worn would look old one day, but that is not where the chapter ends:
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” Romans 5:17
So there are ‘they’ that would reign much more than death, meaning the decay and spoilage in the world doesn’t have to affect them, they have been translated from the domain of death into the domain of life-
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” John 5:24
He’s talking about you! Refuse to accept that you’re losing your sight because of pollution or old age! Refuse to accept that simply because you carried something heavy, it means you have to bend over in pain when you walk for the rest of your life! You were born to subdue that very thing you think you must accept because of unfavorable conditions!
