“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
2 Peter 1:4

We are partakers of the divine nature- even now!
One big information he gives us is that there is a divine nature different from the human nature. It is popular that man excuses all of his behaviors both good and not so good on his nature, so you hear terms like ‘it’s human nature’, but interestingly, there are popular phrases like ‘to err is human, to forgive is divine’, so even in his communication, man accepts that there is that which is human- associated with errors, and there is that which is divine- associated with mercy! They are right, the word of God tells us in the main verse that there is a divine nature and those of us that are born again are partakers of that divine nature- we don’t have two natures inside of us, but one! When we got born again we became new creations in Christ Jesus with a new nature, a divine one- every excuse associated with the human nature has been rendered ineffective, Jesus never gave excuses because of a human nature, we ought not to.
He tells us that he gave us promises to enable us participate in and express that nature fully. Christ is our redemption; he is our riddance!
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1 Corinthians 1:30
He is our righteousness, when we walk through him, we would always be right, he is our sanctification, when many others are on the wrong path, we have been sanctified unto righteousness, he is our riddance: suppose we mistakenly do that which is wrong, his righteousness rids us of every wrong and cause things to go right!
