“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;” 2 Timothy 2:25
See how powerless the word of God has rendered satan! The day a man knows the truth of God’s word, he can easily walk out of satan’s captivity and there is absolutely nothing the devil can do about it!
He says here:
“And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, WHO ARE TAKEN CAPTIVE BY HIM AT HIS WILL.” 2 Timothy 2:26
This means, there are people that satan have been messing around with their lives, at will, he holds them captive with thoughts of uncertainty, physical ailments, family tribulations, financial problems, and for such people, their deliverance is the acknowledgment of the truth; because they were ignorant of God’s word, they worried and made matters worse when they should have been full of thanksgiving, they gave into their optical observations when they should have insisted on God’s word, they were subject to the hurtful purposes of satan.
But God shows us how powerless satan is- the day they realize that worrying does nothing and that God can do anything, that God’s word can be relied upon and can never fail and would prevail over whatever they observe, they would walk in victory.
No wonder the Bible tells us:
“…but Christ became human in order that by his dying he might make the devil powerless.” T4T
Don’t let a paralyzed, ineffective being hold you captive.
