Jesus is the word of God and the Bible tells us in 1 Peter 1:25 that the word endures forever- he never changes.
Whatever Jesus said was a commandment from God that ministered life:
“…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63, see also John 12:49-50
No wonder he was consistent in doing what he asked us to do- giving us a worthy and perfect example. He had told us:
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24
In other words, when you pray, believe that you have received them at the point of prayer, and this would show in your communication. True to his consistency, listen to his prayer to God:
“…Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:” John 17:1, see also John 17:5
And yet still praying:
“And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:” John 17:22
He prayed, received and it affected his communication even while praying. Do what he said.
