“Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.”
Proverbs 4:8

He continues:
“She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.” (Proverbs 4:9)
Wisdom would dress you up with grace and glory! If a clothing is placed on your head, it is most visible for all to see. He says when you exalt and embrace God’s word, his grace and glory in your life would be too significant not to be recognized by all. It’s like what Paul said:
“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.” 1 Timothy 4:15
It will appear to all! Everywhere you go, you would experience unmerited favour- people would just like you and want to work for your promotion. We see such favour at work with Esther:
“…and Esther was one of them. Hegai was put in charge of all the women, and from the first day, Esther was his favorite…” Esther 2:8-9, CEV
And with Joseph:
“And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.” Acts 7:10
And he says this is the destiny of all who prioritize the word; seek and stick to the counsel of God’s word first amongst others. The best part is when God tells you to do something, he is right- you will never regret doing what he says no matter the years that go by; his righteousness is everlasting:
“The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting…” Psalms 119:144
