Jesus is alive! Hallelujah!

Every Easter, we specially celebrate the death and ressurection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and last sunday was another opportunity, it was a beautiful celebration of the Easter Season at Love Haven, Port Harcourt as we hosted Pastor Ebi at our special A Beautiful Life outreach program.

Pastor began to teach on why Jesus came and in doing so, she charged us not to assume for God but to find out what he has said in his word.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

God sent Jesus because he loved us and did not want us to perish, for everyone who has believed in Jesus, we should not perish irrespective of the circumstances.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

The life that Jesus came to give us nullified the works of the devil, when we receive that life, no thief can steal from us, kill from us or destroy us.

Pastor went on to explain that this life is different from the human life, just as plants and animals have uniquely different kinds of life, God has a unique kind of life, different from the human life, and God knowing that the human life was not good enough, has made his own life available for us, this is a life without limitations and that is unaffected by the things that have the ability to affect the human life.

“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” 1 John 5:11

God’s record is that he has given us eternal life, many people have questions they want to ask God, concerns about the issues in this world but God’s record remains the same, his answer is that he has made eternal life which is his own life available to us, this is a life that puts us above every situation in the world.

Pastor rounded off the message by reminding us that we are heirs of God which means that we have access to all that God has, one of such characteristics of God is that he is holy, separated from whatever may be happening and we are called to be partakers of his holiness, the implication of this is that no matter what happens around us in the world, we have been separated by God, the life of God in us makes the difference.

At the end of the message, Pastor led a call for salvation and led those who responded in prayer after which she ministered to those with infirmities in their bodies calling out cases through the word of knowledge and ministering to them.
