“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Acts‬ ‭12‬:‭5

Maybe if the church had prayed when Herod captured James, he would not only have still been alive, Peter would not have been arrested. Remember leaving the earth and being with the Lord is gain:
“…to die is gain…For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:” Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭21,23
This means James had no losses and neither was God the most upset that he was with him.
Maybe if they had let Herod kill Peter by keeping quiet, he would have taken John and then who knows what would have been of the church.
Don’t sit on your hands waiting for time to pass and calm the storm; the situation you refuse to use your faith for and change might birth even worse situations in the future; time won’t heal it! Pray and cause a change; there is something you can do.
