“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Acts 12:5
Jesus had said:
“…Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8
And he was talking about ceaseless hopeful and faith filled prayer:
“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” Luke 18:1
The church had learnt, they had set themselves in a position not to stop praying until they got an answer- a witness: “prayer was made WITHOUT CEASING of the church”
In so much that even after Peter had been released they were still praying: Acts 12:12-13
Can you be that resilient; you should- learn from the word; Elijah was resilient:
“and said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again SEVEN times.” 1 Kings 18:43
Jesus was resilient:
“And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed… And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. And he cometh the THIRD time,” Mark 14:35, 37, 39, 41
These were not people who prayed for few minutes and slept off for sorrow, they prayed and caused changes.
