“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.” Acts 12:5
We pray to God, the father of the Lord Jesus:
“… who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of Lords; who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.” 1 Timothy 6:15-16
He is so great and your praying to him must be serious and not absent minded, see the postures great men took when they prayed to him:
Jesus: “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed…” Matthew 26:39
Elijah: “…and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,” 1 Kings 18:42
Notice the fervor! That’s how you pray to the one true God, not casually as though he has no ears.
The Bible tells us Elijah was just like you, in righteousness and passionate desires but he separated himself through his passionate prayer and influenced his nation for years. James 5:17-18.
Pray, and pray passionately.
