“No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭8‬:‭16‬

Look at the word of God:
“In the beginning was the Word… In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬, ‭4‬-‭5‬
So the light shone and dispelled the darkness and Jesus told us in Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭15‬-‭16‬: “Let your light so shine before men…” Also, interestingly echoing the main verse. So in learning how to shine, we have to learn from the word of God how he shone. Listen to him, he begins:
“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words…” ‭‭John‬ ‭12‬:‭46‬-47
So he’s fully aware that he came to give men light, and he will do it through speaking. Now see how he lived his life in accordance with that purpose and realization: John 12:49-50.
Do likewise. Know God’s word so well that you shine, the only thing that comes out of your mouth at any given moment is the light of God and the wisdom of God!
