“No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.”
Luke 8:16
Here is something beautiful: you believed in Jesus and became a child of light, and this means you are light:
“While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.” John 12:36
The word of God is light, and God ‘lightens’ you up by granting you revelation of his word and expects you to walk accordingly: Ephesians 1:17-18.
And it shouldn’t be difficult for you because all he is doing, is telling you about yourself, showing you a mirror and expecting you to behave accordingly. James 1:23. When you are promoted by reason of the word, decide to make progress through the word and be an expression of the word (shine) at that level and don’t get carried away by the seeming glory of men at that level, their glory would surely fade but if you focus on the word and in bringing glory to God- yours would abide forever (1 Peter 1:24-25).
