“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
The Bible tells us:
“And hope maketh not ashamed…” Romans 5:5
God wants you to have expectations especially knowing as a Christian that you’ve been born into a lively hope:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” 1 Peter 1:3
In other words, don’t give up, always be hopeful, it’s no longer “as long as there’s life, there hope” but “even in death, there can be a resurrection!”
You serve the God of hope and he wants you to abound in hope:
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” Romans 15:13
Hear Jesus talk to Bartimaeus:
“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?..” Mark 10:51
Amazing! The man was blind- wasn’t it obvious he needed healing for his eyes? But Jesus insisted on hearing what he expected! Your expectations are important, be hopeful— you’d never be put to shame!
