“Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.”
2 Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭7‬

What a testimony and praise report the Apostle had for the church at Corinth; he said they were abounding in everything. This means it is possible as a Christian to make progress and grow in everything that matters to God and your fellowship with him.
They were abounding, increasing in faith, utterance, knowledge, diligence, love and grace! This should be your story and it would be once you are ready.
Notice the last line:
“…see that ye abound in this grace also”, he would have asked them to pray to abound in that grace but he didn’t, he made it clear it was their responsibility to increase in that grace just like it is yours. Being born of the word, as you spend more time with the word, by choice, you can determine the extent of your growth.
