“The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: But the way of the wicked seduceth them.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Never let yourself be seduced by the wicked that you begin to despise what you have; you begin to wonder if God’s word is enough or even the only thing you need, Jesus said so, and he knows all things- Luke 10:42, not just that:
“Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: But he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭13‬
So there are no other good options, choosing the word and exalting the word would save you from destruction and pain, and even more would reward you with promotion and honor:
“Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: She shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬
Think about this, just abiding in the word would save you from the risks men take that eventually lead to some catastrophes because the promise of life without death is only found in the word, in the way of righteousness- Proverbs 12:28.
