“See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but
ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves,
and to all men.”
1Thessalonians 5:15
He tells us to be at peace with all men and be patient
towards all men, and he goes further to explain that we
put away thoughts of revenge or “karma” from our
minds.
He also tells you what to focus on when relating with
someone who is seemingly difficult or seem to be causing you hurt, he says follow that which is good.
More often than not we tend to deal with people by
their actions but expect to be dealt with by our intentions; but the word of God is showing you, that before
you react to that mistake or that thing anybody did to
you, pause and remember the good things they have
done, and chase after that one.
Focus on the good they did and stay there, ignore the
bad and make no plans to pay back, as you grow, one of
the major expressions is that your relations with others
would be excellent according to the word of God:
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ…
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you
envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and
walk as men?” 1Corinthians 3:1,3
