“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:” 1 John 1:6
Here is a certaintly; anyone who fellowships with him would never walk in darkness. Anyone who fellowships with him would do the truth; would do the word because the word is truth. Doing the word is so important; he tells us the man who does the word would be blessed (James 1:25); and the expected fruit of fellowshipping with God is doing the word of God primarily, so unlike in the life of Moses, where communication came before doing:
“And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.” Acts 7:22
With Jesus- the living word; doing came before communication:
“…Jesus began both to do and teach,” Acts 1:1
“…Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:” Luke 24:19
“…but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:19
And it was the same with the Apostles:
“And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.” Mark 6:30
God called you into fellowship; to do his word and become the manifest expression of his will on the earth.
