“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7

Jesus had said:
“…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12
Following him didn’t mean walking round the streets of Galilee with him; Judas Iscariot trekked with him and yet, walked in darkness, the Pharisees travelled to meet him, journeyed with him and still walked in darkness- even killed him.
“If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.” John 12:26
Following him is fellowshipping with him; he has brought you to a place where you can walk in the light in which he lives by, so you can comprehend his thoughts, actions and responses and do accordingly:
“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:” 1 John 1:6
Fellowshipping with him is communing with his word; if you walk in the word- there would be no confusion and you would never be dismayed because the word of God would expose every situation to you and cause you to walk in the solution and answers:
“For the word of God is living and full of power… And there is nothing made which is not completely clear to him; there is nothing covered, but all things are open to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4:12-13, BBE
