“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:”
2 Timothy 4:7
He fought the good fight, then finished his course. Fight the good fight, then finish your course. Get equipped, always ready to walk in victory and this happens when you get to the word!
Even physically, the children of Israel won their battles not by their great armory collection- else David would have been crushed by Goliath- but by God’s word and every time God’s word was involved, the preparedness, size or quality of the opposition was irrelevant; the people of God always won! Hear the man who killed a giant with a stone:
“Thy testimonies also are My delight and my counsellors.” Psalm 119:24
The seeming might of whatever challenge you might face on your course in life is irrelevant where the word of God is, so your meditation, friend and counsel at all time should be God’s word.
Notice, it’s one thing to know your course in life, it’s another to finish it- and finishing it entails fighting and keeping the faith, just like the Apostle did.
