“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”  
John 8:12

Jesus said anyone who follows him shall have the light of life. There is a light that when you possess you would understand how to navigate this world in victory and live a life of glory and satisfaction!
In the preceding verses, the Jews had brought to him a woman caught in adultery and quoting the law of Moses, asked him what ought to be done to her. In that situation, you would have to respond in a manner that expresses wisdom and silences all adversaries while making obvious the unconditional love of God- Jesus did just that, and he did so with a few words wrapped up in a suggestion;
“…He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” John 8:7
What a dark situation! But he was (is) the light of the world and he knew how to handle the situation. He says this will be your life story, when you follow him. No matter how puzzling the challenge, question or emotional the matter is, you would have the light of life; you would know how to respond, you would know what to do and you would win, and in all of that, the wisdom and love of God will be manifest through you!
Glory to God! We can live our lives with no room for doubts or unnecessary risks, we are following someone whose instructions and methods will always be correct!
