“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;”
Ephesians 5:18
No wonder he tells us the will of God is that we give thanks:
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Because to be filled with the Spirit you must have an attitude of thanksgiving- giving thanks to God always for ALL things!
And the Holy Spirit enforces God’s will in every situation:
“And He who searches the hearts knows the Spirit’s mind-set, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” Romans 8:27 HCSB
And you can rest easy, that God is mindful of you, and so desirous for your peace and progress: Jeremiah 29:11, 2 Thessalonians 3:16
So even if it isn’t clear to you why you’re walking on a certain path, it should always be clear to you God’s will for you on that path- give thanks!
