“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”
John 15:11

The Bible says:
“…for we know not what we should pray for as we ought…” Romans 8:26
So there are instances where we really might not ask for the right solutions to the problems we see, like Moses asking the Israelites to stand but God wanted them to keep walking, in-fact we might not even think we are deserving of the kind of answers God can wrought for us. No way would Peter had anticipated such a catch even if he were to ask Jesus directly: Luke 5:8 (Luke 5:4-9)
That’s Grace- receiving what we couldn’t have worked for or even deserved.
Jesus tells us receiving the answers to our prayers (John 16:24) is like receiving his word (John 15:11), and in-fact emphasizes that to receive answers to our prayers, we ought to have received his word:
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7
What does the word bring us? John 1:14- Grace! With his word, we can walk in God’s desired answer and solution for us that far surpasses what we could have asked for.
