“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
Philippians 2:13
God is at work in you, causing you to will his good pleasure! Such an expression of his purpose for your life, he wants you to desire his good pleasure, and to do it.
He wants your life to be filled with expressions of that which is pleasing to him.
“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,” Ephesians 1:5
It was your destiny to be born again, and your being a child of God was God’s will and it brought him pleasure, now that you are born again, he dwells in you through his Spirit:
“…And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.” 1 John 3:24
Just by being you- a Christian, you are a manifestation of his good pleasure, now he’s at work in you to will and to do his good pleasure- this means your life is for the glory of God. No wonder he then says:
“Do everything without complaining or arguing” Philippians 2:14, ISV
If he’s at work in you to do his good pleasure, then learn not to complain and argue, nothing can be to your disadvantage because just like it was your destiny to become the child of the living God, that same predestination is at work in you and whatever situation you find yourself, you are not in it alone, God is in you, he is working in you, he is greater than all and so no need to complain, all things would work according to his good pleasure.
