“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead”
1 Peter 1:3
We were born again unto a lively hope. If Jesus resurrected from the dead, it means firstly, death isn’t the last bus stop, neither is it a reason to lose hope, secondly, there can be a new beginning.
His resurrection was a new beginning, now children of God, new creatures would exist on the earth, these one have Christ in them and so live in the glory of God, contrary to the first set of people who because of Adam’s transgression had fallen short of the glory of God:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” Romans 3:23
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” Romans 5:19
“…Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27
So cheer up! There is hope, it is never too late with God, he introduced himself:
“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Revelations 1:8
And he had said:
“…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Hebrews 13:5
When you think you’ve reached the end and you’re in your worst state possible, he’s right there with you, ready to give you a new beginning.
