“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”
Psalms 127:1

He tells us unless the Lord keeps the city, all security resource is a waste of time. The Bible calls you the city of God:
“Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.” Psalms 87:3
Unless you surrender your life- your decisions and counsels to him and submit to his word, every effort being made to secure your future, family, finances etc. is a waste of time that would soon become painfully obvious:
“Then you will say… So now I have suffered through just about every kind of trouble anyone can have, and everyone knows it.”” Proverbs 5:12-14, ERV
Give yourself to the word, there’s a promise for you and your safety:
“Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.” Proverbs 3:23-24
And don’t become overwhelmed by the strategies of fallen men that can’t see tomorrow.
