“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”
Matthew 7:24

The Bible says, there would be an evil day:
“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”  Ephesians 6:13
Exactly the same sentiments with Jesus, he said for the wise man, the challenges came. The wise and foolish man both heard the word, so hearing the word of God does not immune one from challenges, he says:
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”  1 John 5:4
We have overcome and we have the victory- faith is the victory, this obviously means that despite the challenges (emphasizing the fact that we will face challenges), we remain unmoved because we have overcome. We already won, so we are not battling with anyone or anything, all we have to do is to always remember that we have won and remain standing, unfazed, maintaining our confession that we have won, all that is required for the child of God to win is to be unmoved and to remain standing:
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to STAND… and having done all, TO STAND.
STAND therefore…” Ephesians 6:11,13-14
Here’s the thing: remaining standing is doing the word, because that is the Spirit’s instruction to us if we face diverse challenges, stay standing and in standing, we are building on the rock and so there is no way, our remaining standing would leave us bewildered or in dismay, Jesus said:
“And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”  Matthew 7:25
