“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
Philemon 1:6

When you received salvation, you received eternal life- the life inside of God- and that is a big deal! The Bible says:
“We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren…” 1 John 3:14
Your expressions of love is proof that you now dwell in the realm of life, incidentally, the life of God is one ‘good thing’ in you, and so is the Spirit of God- he is the greater being inside of you, and he brought the love of God into your heart:
“Now this hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5, ISV
You have the love of God inside of you- to the overflow! No wonder he sets Christ’s expression of love as the standard you should follow- you can forgive and love others, just like Jesus did, because you now possess the love of God in all of its quality:
“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:32
“And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us…” Ephesians 5:2
