“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”
1Peter 5:6

Humility infers grace and promotion. The one who is humble has absolutely nothing to lose but a lot to gain- a new level to attain!
The main verse tells us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Where is this hand of God, that we have to find and place ourselves underneath? The word of God!
He says concerning the word of God, be humble! The word of God tells us:
“Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;” 1Corinthians 3:21
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and vir-tue:” 2Peter 1:3
But then your rent might be almost due and your savings isn’t matching up, he says be humble! There is something he knows that you don’t know about the situation.
In your being humble, you should always remember that the word of God knows about the situation more than you and so when he tells you to respond a certain way, he is not suggesting to you what might work- he is showing you what would definitely produce results!
